What should I wear?
-Fashionably comfortable is what I most suggest. Colors and complimentary colors work well. Matchy need not apply here. White is not always the best and crazy print patterns can distract. Most sessions are held outdoors so keep this in mind depending on the season we are in.
Can I bring props and/or special memorabilia?
-Yes! And I encourage it. Not only do I encourage it but I also urge you to bring your own ideas and suggestions to the session. This is your time, your portraits; I will do my thing along with my experience and knowledge of my photographic equipment to give you a creative, memorable and beautiful product!
What is your experience?
-I have been studying photography seriously since 2006. I enrolled and studied at New York Institute of Photography and received my professional diploma in 2008.
Where is your studio located?
-I am an on location photographer meaning I bring the studio to you. We will have the session at the location of choice so that you feel relaxed and confident during your session. Newborns are shot in a more studio setting in your home with backdrops and beanbags to keep it safe and comfy for baby while maternity and engagements are done outdoors or a mix of indoor/outdoor.
Do you offer digital images on disc?
-Yes! After a minimal print purchase is made you will be able to order your images on disc, all discs come with a small digital file optimized for sharing on Facebook or other social medias.
Do you have insurance?
-Absolutely! I never leave home without it!
Do you have back-up equipment?
-Yes! You never can be too prepared.
When should we expect to see our images after our session?
-My contract states in 1 week your images will be available to view but I have been consistently under this timeline. A email will be sent to you once I am done post-processing your photos...please make sure you gave a valid email and have internet access.
I see you specialize in maternity and newborn.
-I feel my true talent is in maternity and newborn portraiture. And, I absolutely love the joy and craziness of weddings!
I would love to book you for a maternity/newborn session or engagement/wedding but would love to meet with you first. Do you do consults?
-Yes!! And I highly recommend we meet first. We can set up a meet and greet at a restaurant or park near you and I will bring some products samples so that you are familiar with what I can provide. I think consults are a wonderful way of finding out if we are a good match for each other: lifestyle photography is such a personal way of capturing the true you so you want to make sure your photographer is compatible not only style-wise but personality-wise, too!
I notice you do not run a lot of session promotions. Why is that?
-Session promotions will be limited to when the studio enters its slow season. These promotions will be for sessions I do not normally do like family, children, headshots, pets and such. regular promotions are not offered because I am a custom studio meaning you are paying for all the time I devote not just when I am capturing your memory in art but also when I am behind my computer. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes like designing, dealing with orders and requests, keeping website and galleries in order for both myself and clients, online seminars to keep myself fresh with new ideas and techniques and all the business stuff that enables me to be a legit business. So, yes, I will do the occasional sale or promotion but in order to continuously give a high level of quality service and product, promotions are not what this studio is all about!
